At the moment to embed reports in a intranet webpage we only have the option to put ?rs:Embed=True at the end of the url.
I have read (on this website) that there are plans to extend this so parameters could also be passed in the url, in a similar way that the current SSRS works.
Could we also have the Power BI JavaScript API enabled for Power BI Report Server, in a similar way to the Azure service has ?

RE: Power BI JavaScript API support for Report Server
I totally agree please support this feature . were studying to purchase power bi to
use it on our on our intranet network but this feature is one of the most important things we need to use!
RE: Power BI JavaScript API support for Report Server
we need this feature, too
RE: Power BI JavaScript API support for Report Server
We would need the API in order to embed single visulas into Responsive Layout divs into custom html+javascript frontends. actual IFrame embedding are not enough to satisfy our customers needs.
RE: Power BI JavaScript API support for Report Server
We would like the ability to perform the same row and import operations available in the Azure REST API.
RE: Power BI JavaScript API support for Report Server
Yes, we need beyond basic parameter filtering. For example, showing the report with Filter Pane in an iframe is not ideal.
We want to ability to hide it like what can be done on Azure.
RE: Power BI JavaScript API support for Report Server
This is absolutely required, we've been trying to embed reports into our intranet site that are user/context aware and can be filtered specifically to them. We're currently having to use URL filtering but it is so limited in its functionality it is proving almost useless.
Come on @Ricardo any update since July last year!??! ;)
RE: Power BI JavaScript API support for Report Server
This is the the one of the main lacks from the on-premise solution, expecially in the developer point of view. An api complied with the power.com api as someone commented before could be a good step forword.
RE: Power BI JavaScript API support for Report Server
Absolutely needed
RE: Power BI JavaScript API support for Report Server
Definitely agree - this would expand the use cases for PowerBI Report Server. This would bridge the permissions gap left open with iframe embedding. We could build context and user-aware embedded reports...so that we could pass parameters from our app to the embedded report item, but not introduce ways for the user to "break out" of the filter set and see stuff that doesn't exactly pertain to them.
It would be really cool if it simply complied with the public powerbi.com api...based on the on-prem version of course.
RE: Power BI JavaScript API support for Report Server
Please allow PowerBI reports to render in the SSRS viewer like the rdl's can so that we can reach large numbers of clients through this very effect report mechanism. We build the viewer into .Net projects and then render data back via viewer. This wont work for .pbix files
