We need the option to control the color of the slicer checkbox when an item is selected. The default has a dark color that is almost not visible when using a dark background color for the slicer.

Voted. How many votes until it's actually considered. This is a very basic over sight.

Or, at least use the font color for the checkbox color?

We're moving to darker backgrounds and this has become a real problem. We cannot use the Chiclet slicer as we need to include "select all" for some slicers and have a look/feel consistency issue so we have to use one type of slicer in all cases.

I agree, we use a dark background for slicers and its elements are hardly visible - checkbox icons and radio buttons.

RE: Design option for checkbox of slicer

I found a work-around with my Black background.

Instructions:
The only work-around is "Insert" > "Shape" > "Rectangle", then draw a very tiny rectangle that has fill = white color, no outline color. Then put this shape BEHIND the checkboxes so it provides contrast. You have to use "View" > "Selection" and then put the new white shape behind the slicer checkboxes so it's layered below it.

You also have to click on the checkbox slicer, then go to "Visualizations" > "Format properties" , turn on Background, then set the Background to Black (or whatever dark color) with 50% transparent so you can see through the slicer, the white shape in background layer will appear. You can adjust the transparency level to balance out the white checkbox (unchecked) and dark checkbox (while checked) to achieve a visible display.
