Matrix visualization should allow user to "expand all down one level" after "go to next level in the hierarchy" so that higher level groups can be removed to see a greater variety of breakdowns in one place.
For example if I have grouping levels "Products"<-"Foods"<--"Fruits"<-"Citrus", I would want to be able to see how many of each citrus I have in the fruits grouping without having to hunt through all of the non-fruit products.
