Currently PBI tries to guess the format type being imported, and mostly it guesses incorrectly. If a format type has been set in Excel, it should carry over to PBI. It is hugely time consuming to change formats on data with 50+ columns, and especially painful when a small change to a table is required and it forgets all the formatting set previously. As well as this, multiple selection of columns with CTRL or Shift key is urgently needed.
