As users are responsible for the data they share in reports they pose a risk to data security when they do not understand the security of the user they are sharing the report with or security permissions of a user changes after the report is shared. while this isn't likely to be a problem reporting up the management chain, reporting down the chain of users could be an issue (i.e. a sales manager sharing top 10 sales figures with a subordinate team).
my suggestion is that when sharing a report the author selects an execute as option box (my permissions,User permissions, or prompt for credentials)
