I maintain a parameter in each .pbix called version or something like that and I put the date I made a change to the version. I can then display that in a visual on a report so I know if the latest version has synced to the service. But that means I need to remember to update the parameter each time I make changes to the .pbix. what would be really convenient would be to have an autmatic parameter that was set to the last saved/changed date of the .pbix file that is being used in the service.
