This is now available in the Azure Maps visual: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/power-bi-march-2021-feature-summary/#post-14033-_Toc65500391
RE: fence selection on map points
It would be good to be able to select one or more points, using any of the available methods, and link them to a group, such as an advertising area or a project. The group may already exist or may need to be created when you have made the selection. Any given point could be in more than one group.
RE: fence selection on map points
will be a good option to add

And if you could aggregate by that fence too, that would be great

RE: fence selection on map points
This is a must have since we are working on geospatial data
RE: fence selection on map points
This is a great suggestion! We used MapPoint radial drawing feature to select out from a spot on the map (e.g. draw a radius of 100 miles out from Chicago, IL) and then be able to export all the pinpoints inside the radius.
RE: fence selection on map points
Right. It would be nice to be able to draw a specific region on a map with the cursor and then have all of those points within that region selected for further use. Right now in my particular map there are too many points to select by hand.

Geofencing (the above) would be really handy for some of our datasets. Especially if combined with the ability to specify a radius from a point. IE, select all data points 50km from the primary location
