Power BI has been out for awhile now and, while it's great that Vertipaq and M engine have dedicated resources, there appears to be little love for improving the default visuals. There are still *many* giant gaps missing from almost every one of them.

This failure to address the visual aspect of PBI is what's preventing the Tableau and Qlik communities from jumping ship. Their response is ALWAYS, "the visuals can do 80% of what I need but it's missing the other 20%". Unfortunately this missing 20% cannot be "hacked" like it can be Tableau - if it's not an option in PBI then you cannot do it. Custom visuals do not help with these 20% either - if I want to change the word "Goal" to "Last Week" in the KPI visual then I should be able to do that without spending 100 hours creating my own custom visual that will eventually break.

General examples include:

Missing spacing options, e.g. fixing the Y-axis space on the Clustered Bar Chart to prevent it cutting off text.

Missing formatting options, e.g. I cannot Left Align the Card visual.

Blade inconsistencies, e.g. half the visuals have the "General" option down the bottom of the blade vs the other half have it up the top (same goes with X-axis and Y-axis being flipped!).

I can list *literally* 10+ missing standard features for each default visual, aside from the new Table and Matrix ones - nice work on those! Reach out to me via email and I will gladly setup a meeting to assist in designing the requirements for each.

Long story short: stop treating default visuals as second class citizens.
