Sharepoint does not know how to handle .pbix files. Should be able to check out / open.

Apparently Power BI is NOT an Office 365 application, or it would automatically be supported in SharePoint... this is about as basic as you can get.

They now support a webpart ... but this is no substitute for the real need... native support of pbix files... like Visio or any other office doc.

I don't understand why this isn't supported - we are trying to push all our users to SharePoint but oversights like this make it impossible

This would be awesome. I'd love to see multi-user editing and clicking save syncing to SharePoint.

RE: Sharepoint file handling .pbix

It's a native O365 application, i'm surprise we have to spent votes on this. We want to be able to open it directly from the library and check it in / out directly from the application as it's used by powerusers for central reporting with a form of version control

This would really help handling enterprise files that are managed in a SharePoint Document Management System.
