Why can't we define the data formatting of a report (Table, Matrix, whatever) as a separate construct from the data model?
For example: When clicking on a data cell of data type number, I should be able to define that number as a percentage or a currency just as in excel. Right now I have to add elaborate formatting in multiple measure and switch statements to replicate what should be a basic feature of any date presentation software.
Clients are used to seeing things built in Excel and PowerPoint. They do not care if the tool you are using is more powerful, they want it to be easy to read!

RE: Better Formatting Options Across the Board
Completely agree. Why restrict formatting to the table when that should be left in most raw state possible specifically because that allows more options for formatting on the presentation? This is even more crucial when you use shared datasets.Put formatting where it belongs, in the presentation.
