Yes, this happened today!
Please add feature to set Default selection to a Slicer - Probably a measure that could be assigned. Currently there no there is no way to tell a Slicer to AutoSelect the latest Date, Month or Year when the report is opened. We have to use Workarounds like "Current Date", "Latest Year" in place of the actual date. Our users do not want to see that. I just cant believe we still don't have this simple feature!
Most MS Support personal suggests us to use "Relative filter", but they forget that doing so will exclude all other dates from the report/visual!
