Power BI data refresh monitoring agent for Direct Query/Live Connections

I like the subscription alert process for emailing users when a report is built using the Import mode. Since Power BI is already hooked up with the database with the data gateway connections can it also use the listening agent available in the Import mode to look for and alert when the data gets updated in the source for Direct Query/Live Connection reports/dashboards as well? This will take Power BI to the next level and help with proactive alerts/emails for many users who may depend on the new data for their daily business performance analysis for leadership like Sales Performance KPIs.
