Wouldn't it be nice if users could change the legend on a chart?

I would like to request a vanilla slicer that works something like regular slicer or Chiclet slicer which could control the Legend field on a selected visual.

The developer would just have to make sure that only the charts he wants the slicer to affect are set to be modified by this slicer.

We can take this a bit further. Why not just have a slicer that can control fields in selected visuals? That would be awesome, as it
would allow developers to condense what might normally require many visuals, pages, or bookmarks; and offer users more flexibility to slice and dice data.

Yes, you could set up a series of bookmarks each associated with a different chart that would allow the user to "change" the legend, but maintaining bookmarks on detailed or complex report pages can be a pain.

Thank you.

RE: Slicer to Change Chart Legends

Would be great if slicer selection could change the drilldown level or if there was a slicer/navigator button for drilldown arrows (including the expand and go to next level) that used the names of the available fields rather than having to guess how many times to click the arrow.

RE: Slicer to Change Chart Legends

To confirm, what you mean is allow a slicer (or something) that would allow the report consumer to control the field selection that goes in the Legend field of the Visualization pane for charts such as stacked bar and cluster? This ability would prevent me from having to creating multiple charts that display yearly totals for multiple different categories (gender, region, ethnicity, country, etc.)
