Support for sorting column series in stacked column and combo charts by the column value ASC or DESC

There does not appear to be a built-in way to sort the stacked column series in a column other than alphabetically by the column series value. I am totaling dollars by fiscal year on the X axis and by a category value within the column (column series). I need to be able to sort the category values within each stacked column by the dynamically calculated total dollars for each category from largest on the bottom to smallest at the top. Being to do the reverse would also be great, which amounts to sorting the column series totals in ascending or descending order.
