The primary axis are outdated and require significant improvement when compared to Excel. This makes it difficult for report creators and often leads to problems when trying to manage and style them effectively. By offering more format settings, greater control over displayed data can be provided, especially if axis ticks, new gridlines, and separators are also included.

this is required and more helpful
RE: Epic idea: Advanced primary axis
@PowerBI #addthisASAP :)
Add a simple variable to set an interval on the x-axis, be it for a specific need or just to de-clutter the visual.
In my case x-axis is a reporting week 'Thurs to Weds', which needs a specific from/to range displayed (like '1 Apr - 7 Apr', rather than a 'week commencing' date that would be too easy). Hence not formatted as a date field but as a text field.
There's a lot of weeks in a year ... so way too much x-axis text and it's just horrible to look at. A 1 in 4 interval would vastly improve the visual for the user and improve engagement, rather than being distracted by the noise under the graph.
RE: Epic idea: Advanced primary axis
I am finding it increasingly difficult to advocate for the use of Power BI at my company as I uncover more and more basic functionalities that are missing. This feature is a must and should have been implemented years ago. Very disappointed.
RE: Epic idea: Advanced primary axis
This would be huge for several of my Executive reporting projects
RE: Epic idea: Advanced primary axis
please add this feature! I have this option in SSRS which is much older. I want to convince my users to switch from SSRS and this is one of those parity features that is needed.
RE: Epic idea: Advanced primary axis
why ohh why is somthing this simple not fixed in 2019
RE: Epic idea: Advanced primary axis
Really? This is still not a thing?
RE: Epic idea: Advanced primary axis
Need this feature ASAP
RE: Epic idea: Advanced primary axis
The lack of this feature is EMBARRASSING. I don't know how to advocate for PowerBI in my company anymore after discovering that.
RE: Epic idea: Advanced primary axis
This was first requested in 2016 - how is it not a basic functionality yet?
