Need a visual or text box capable of displaying a multi-line, aligned text field under Direct Query.

A visual that is capable of displaying a muliple-line CHAR(13) or CHAR(10) delimited text field (for example, a postal address) would be very useful. In it's current state, this required major workarounds in Power BI.

I have a hard time recommending Power BI because basic tasks require so many work arounds. Displaying a multi-line, aligned text field should be a basic task in a reporting package. Text fields are unusable in Power BI Desktop under Direct Query.
