Unless your X-axis consist of a Continuous variable (e.g. dates) and you have a lot of data points - then the data will always be shown with a scroll bar, which make it impossible to get an overview of data. In Excel this kind of data (regardless the data consist of Continuous data or Catagori) will alway be shown without a scroll bar.
The best solution will be a standard button where you can apply with or without scroll bar regardless of the nature of data (that is if it is of type Continuous or Catagory).
And while we are at it: Power BI will always set to Category type unless we talk about real dates. An example: Vi have a Time Dimension with dates, month/year, quarter/year - but because our Time Dimension is in danish (it is a Tabular model running on Premise through a Gateway), the month/year and the quarter/year will NOT be recognized as Continuous data and what makes it worse: In Power BI you CANNOT CHANGE the default type from Category to Continous. AND we end up where 1) we have the scroll bar in line charts and 2) we cannot use the analysis tools (forecast, trendlines etc.).
Please make this happen :-)
