We need a way to back up the data,
like sharepoint file revisions or a recycle bin.

We have reports built in the service from a live connection to the gateway published SSAS database.

There's no way to backup this work currently. It's a risk.

This needs to be in Power BI, until then you can use Power BI Sentinel to automate backups for you.

Users have already deleted reports by mistake in my workspace. Please can we have a sensible way of making a backup.

I agree. This should happen at the workspace level where the admin can backup/download all reports (via checkbox) from the workspaces (without needing to go into each one individually).

This will also greatly simplify the process when a database is migrated to a new server and updates need to be made in each/every report.
