Hi, I have mentioned this in the comments of another idea. I am hoping that if I create a new idea it will get more attention.

https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums/265200-power-bi-ideas/suggestions/19321789-dynamic-date-slicer-improve-relative-date-slicer

The idea is:

In the drop down on the relative date slicer. There should be the ability to turn off the slicer or in other words. Pick all dates.

Currently, the only way around this is to turn the relative slicer in to a list/drop down and then back again to a relative date slicer. The ability to do this is often hidden when the date slicer box is too small. So it is a method that does not work all the time.

With out this ability I find the relative date slicer as it is currently almost unusable. As it removes the ability to look at how variables change across time from start to finish.

Another example of it's use.

I select this month.

Then I want to select this year.

then I want to select all years or all months or all days? How do I do that?

If I know the date range starts in 1990 then I can count how many years ago that was... Then select Last 10 years. But that is messy.

What if I am look at this month and want to look at future months too?
