Analyse in Excel is a powerful feature but when sharing a Power BI report with external users there is no way to be able to turn this off. This gives external users full access to the Power BI data model data which is far more than we are wanting or able to share. For use this means that we are not able to share reports with external users which was going to be a major use of Power BI. I expect that others are not aware that this functionality is avaiable to anyone who has access to the report including external users. We need a way to be able to turn off Analyse in Excel for external users and preferably also export data. This should be placed in the same area that the option to turn off Q&A is under the options for the report. It should not be that hard to do. Please support this idea as I am sure that it will be an issue for others as well.

RE: Disable Analyse in Excel for external users
External users (outside our organization) are unable to use the Analyze in Excel option, at least, that we can troubleshoot. How are your external users able to Analyze in Excel?
RE: Disable Analyse in Excel for external users
I agree. This makes sharing reports a security risk.
