Need ability to place a filter box on a dashboard that allows wildcard text search of a defined text field. e.g. product description, type 'coca' and get all items with coca in description, then select one or multiple items.
Filter drop downs instead of slicer boxes would provide more space for charts.
this idea is addition functionality to one already posted http://support.powerbi.com/forums/265200-power-bi/suggestions/6674820-global-filter-in-dashboards

This would be a game changer to avoid to add too many filters t the dashboard!

This control needs to be inside off the dashboard to appear inside of the embed

There needs to be an easy and obvious way for DASHBOARD END USERS - not just report creators who are familiar with Power BI software - to search, say, a large table of values for a specific term.

I strongly support this idea. Being able to search for keywords and phrases in text columns will make Power BI better suited for analyzing data sets containing unstructured information. If I have imported a set of tweets from Twitter, I would also like to search and/or filter on keywords inside the 140 character text.
