More granular map zoom control and ability to set default zoom

I tried searching the forums and haven't found a solution yet so I have 2 ideas to improve Filled Maps and Map visuals.

1. More granular zoom control to increase precision of the view we are trying to display.

When I zoom on the US I have to have the visual show 1/2 of Canada down to Mexico/Cuba to show the whole lower 48 states. The next zoom level in starts to cut off Texas, Florida, and Maine.

2. Ability to set a default view with button.

This goes along with #1 as I would like to set a precise zoom level as the default zoom view. The map would need a button to bring the map back to that zoom view if the zoom was changed.

For example looking at the default view of the lower 48 states I would like to be able to zoom in on a specific state for more detail. By doing that it changes the default center and when zooming out you need to readjust the view again of the lower 48 states. If there was a button to return you to the set default view that would be amazing and save time adjusting maps.
