Pass Parameter from Slicer to Stored Procedure to Fetch New Data on PBI Report Server

I see a lot of "ideas" for allowing parameters to be passed to a stored procedure dynamically through a slicer for the cloud service, but don't see exactly what I'm asking for for Report Server.

Please allow us to create reports based on a stored procedure and dynamically fetch new data based on the value of a slicer. The slicer value would be the value of the parameter being passed to the stored procedure.

If PBIRS is built on the SSRS engine, why is this feature not available in PBIRS the way it is on SSRS?
