SSAS supports rich-text memo style fields. When you connect these to Power BI visuals, they should show with all the correct formatting etc.
Support for HTML-formatted text would be great too!

RE: Rich text & HTML support in data fields
we are having to rely on third party add-ons this should definitely be a out of the box feature.
RE: Rich text & HTML support in data fields
I totally agree with this. And we need a certified visual to allow us to export to pdf and print.
RE: Rich text & HTML support in data fields
The third party visual (HTMLViewer) is now longer available on App Source. There is no way to visualise Rich-text data (for instance from a SharePoint list column). This means that there is a real need to have this native in Power BI, now more then before.
RE: Rich text & HTML support in data fields
There is currently a third party visual in the marketplace that supports HTML formating for multiline text fields.

RE: Rich text & HTML support in data fields
We want to expose our data dictionary via power bi and this has tables and other html elements in the definitions, examples etc. This is the thing that is stopping us from moving!

RE: Rich text & HTML support in data fields
Data that has been formatted in Project Online, like a bulleted list, show up as a long string of text in PowerBI. My request is that PowerBI shows what is stored in the database, just like what is seen in the application.
RE: Rich text & HTML support in data fields
