In a matrix visual, I have multiple measures, and I've turned on "Show on rows," so that each measure appears in a row rather than in a column.
Now, when I apply field formatting with "Apply to header" = 'On', the field formatting does not get applied to the row header. I expected it would.
Please fix this so that field formatting can be applied to row headers, the same as column headers. Thanks!

Very much need feature, Please provide as soon as possible.
RE: Apply field formatting to row headers
Wow, this one has been an issue for quite a while. This is a pretty elementary need to get reports looking acceptable. Any progress?
RE: Apply field formatting to row headers
Same here, very frustrating. Seems like a bug as according to the settings that are available it should be there. But doesn't work anymore when 'Show on rows' is activated.
Crucial for layout in most of my reports.
RE: Apply field formatting to row headers
This needs to be done. So annoying when I have Values as Rows, and the field formatting won't apply to the row Header like it does if I leave the values as columns. C'mon MSFT, get it fixed!
RE: Apply field formatting to row headers
In a matrix we need to be able to customize the formatting of the row headers so that level 3 is smaller than level 2 and Level 1 being the largest. Very important for nice formatting of hierarchies.
RE: Apply field formatting to row headers
I need it!
RE: Apply field formatting to row headers
This needs to be added as a functionality. To give option for example of Pass (Green), Fail (Red) etc.
Table and Matrix.
RE: Apply field formatting to row headers
also fraustrated by that.
spent a whole bunch of time trying to make it work, but it dosent.
sometimes it worked for some rows and not for others, and most time worked for none.
Seems random, and i could not find any documentation that suggests how does this behave.
Please help.
RE: Apply field formatting to row headers
Yep same here. We have result and target measures in the rows. We'd like to make the target rows be bold (or another font/colour).
