Great suggestion, thanks! Who else is looking to analyze Exchange information? If you think it'd be valuable, please add your votes!

RE: Office 365 Exchange Data

On-prem exchange too please! I'm having to run powershell to export a CSV of info, then using excel to try and get some analysis from it.
Would be much easier if I could feed it straight to PowerBI through an Exchange connector

RE: Office 365 Exchange Data

We want to use this type of approach for enterprise wide crm style data mining, eg email counts to and from client domains, users corresponding with client domains etc.

Here's something that you can build by reading an Exchange Calendar: http://www.timrodman.com/a-power-bi-timesheet/

RE: Office 365 Exchange Data

You can get this type of data for O365 by using OData feed in PowerBI Desktop
Enter the O365 reporting Url https://reports.office365.com/ecp/reportingwebservice/reporting.svc/
Choose Basic Authentication, enter user name\password
You will get a list of tables that are available, pick the one you need

RE: Office 365 Exchange Data

Yes, its really valuable for IT Admins to submit the O365 report to Mgmt. At present we were using the script and doing some manual stuff to generate the report. But if we have an option to integrate with power BI it reduce most of the admin task and reduce the time. I am eagerly awaiting for this feature.

As mentioned in a previous comment, I would also like the ability to query the entire database, not just 1 mailbox! Particularly interested in message tracking metrics (sent/received etc.).

Ability to setup Exchange Server as a data source in the manage gateways section in order to schedule refresh in Power BI.

Although paid product after period this is already available through Microsoft Graph driver for power bi. Download and install instructions are on http://superuser.com/questions/1148956/installation-steps-of-exact-online-driver-for-microsoft-power-bi. Is that sufficient or are you missing something?
