Freeze Panes in PowerBI
In one of the projects we did recently the customer asks us to put some slicers on the top of the page and various charts below. The page size height was 4000 pixels.
While interacting with the page we thought that it would be very useful to have a "freeze" panes type of option as is available in Excel so that the slicers are always visible.

RE: Freeze Panes in PowerBI
I think this is an awesome idea. It adds so much flexibility report building in PowerBI so that you can scroll out of view but still have the ability to change your filters.
There are two options
1. allow the ability to float the filter or chart so that is it always in view with respect to other information. e.g. beign able to see a cahrt at the top whilst you scrll down to view different input tables. this could be the first step of implementation/
2. allow dedicated space (a margin) header footer or left right axis where you can snap charts or filters.
I think both ideas have merit. Happy to hear other people thoughts. It gives a different perspective to powerbi report design as opposed to dashboard design since my definition of a dashboard is to keep it one page and action oriented.
