RE: Cross filter on a slicer

Please add the functionality that any object that has been selected should update the filters on the page. This works great in Qlik Sense !

RE: Cross filter on a slicer

I've a similar request where I have a shape map. I'd like a user to select an area on the map to set the slicer value rather than use a dropdown list to select the region name for example. Selection from the map would be more user friendly.

For more context, see this post by Alberto Ferrari: " It would be great if slicer syncing came as a feature in Power BI implemented through specific queries sent by the client tool, so that users would stop using bidirectional relationships for that purpose."

RE: Cross filter on a slicer

This needs to be fixed immediately! PLEASE VOTE. Erick is incorrect. The request is to have the CROSS FILTER APPLY TO THE SLICER. For example, I have a bar chart, I need to CROSS FILTER the SLICER so that when I click on a value in the bar chart it applies the CROSS FILTER on the SLICER, thus removing the values that are not related to the selected bar chart value. This should be so simple and yet it is still not available. You can even check the 'Edit Interactions', which shows that is SHOULD be applying the CROSS FILTER to the slicer, but it DOES NOT. Again, you can try and test with something as simple as a few manually entered rows as proof. Please FIX!

RE: Cross filter on a slicer

Just to add more context to this request: if the data source are flat files or a relational database cross filter for slicers work but not if the data source is a tabular or multidimensional cube.
