Often mature M queries take a long time to run in Power BI for Desktop. In these cases, testing a change to the code can become cumbersome without introducing a Keep Top N Rows line to cut out the bulk of the data.
It would be useful to introduce some kind of Debug state so that the code can be left unchanged before deployment. Ideally, my code would be able to take advantage of knowing its run environment (whether than be the Desktop or the Service)
