I currently import lots of excel files saved on SharePoint. Inside a report I want to provide a hyperlink the end user can click on to open the SharePoint file. In power query I can capture the path and file name. However if I combine those to create a URL, when the user clicks on that link to open the document, and then saves it creates a new copy of the excel file (rather than creating a new version of the file). It would be great to have a way to create a link to a file saved on SharePoint that uses the “sharing link” you would get if you went to SharePoint, selected a file, and clicked Share.
