Different Dropdown Slicer color when selection is made vs no selection is made

Please find a way that we can set a different background color when the slicer is activated (=a value has been selected) vs when it is unused (displays "ALL"). For report viewers, this allows to see immediately which fields they have filtered. For larger slicer panes with e.g. 4+ slicers, this is extremely user friendly. See screenshot here:

Right now I'm doing this manually in all reports by using additional rectangular boxes that are put behind the actual slicers, with a special conditional formatting measure created for each slicer. It makes the report's performance go down because of all the additional objects and DAX running and if it was built into the slicer control itself would be so much smoother.
