It would be great if we could change columns labels/names in the standard visuals (Table & Matrixes mainly). In our company we have a data warehouse build to support the PowerBI tabular model with the data. The field names in the data model are not the most intuitive to our PowerBI End User. It could be great if we could change the way the field labels are shown in our tables to be more intuitive and meaningful without needing to change the field names in the data model.

With today's release, you can now rename any field within a chart or table! Learn more in our blog post: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/blog/power-bi-desktop-july-feature-summary-2/#rename

RE: Change column labels/names in the visual
The option of rotating colum headers to vertical or an angle would be greatly appreciated
RE: Change column labels/names in the visual
The option to rotate column headers to be vertical would also be nice!
RE: Change column labels/names in the visual
We need this feature! Please!
RE: Change column labels/names in the visual
Please make this happen as soon as you can. Allowing users to customize the legends by removing the operation performed in the data is very important, as the visualizations would look much cleaner.

Useful when connecting live to SSAS
RE: Change column labels/names in the visual
This is an extremely important requirement. Much appreciate if you make it happen as soon as you can.
RE: Change column labels/names in the visual
Great idea!
RE: Change column labels/names in the visual
This should be a very basic function . Must have... please
RE: Change column labels/names in the visual
I would like to be able to rename the fields that I am adding to tables and matrix visuals as often the name of the column/measure would benefit from being shortened (but not appropriate to shorten on the physical table) and when applying an summarization which is not the default summarization for the column it will rename the column to "Count of Date" for a distinct count of dates for example.
RE: Change column labels/names in the visual
Agreed - should not have to mess with data and create measures to clean up data labels in visualizations!
