Be able to create email subscriptions for the PBIX reports in the Report Server

We’d hoped we’d have a good way to bring this functionality to the server – however, similarly to Export to PDF, after a lengthy evaluation of all the options and required investments, we’re not planning to bring this feature to the server at this time.

What Laz said. It makes little sense and is even a bit annoying. But, its true that going old-school with emails would assist a lot in adoption.
Anyone who works with a lot of business users without a ton of tech savvy is feeling this pain.

The admin backlog explanation on this issue is ridiculous. Previous versions of report server have report subscriptions for paginated reports. So if end users want to upgrade to the power bi report server to replace old report server versions because the PB server allows users to consume PBIX on premise why wouldn't this key feature be more important?

Even better if a user can sign up for the report to be emailed to them on a schedule that they wish. Example: One user may want it once a week where another wants it once a month.

Is there any way to move this from Backlog to actively being worked on? It would be great for this to be available in the January release!
Considering it has already been implemented in the Cloud based platform, surely it can't be too hard to complete this for those of us who are limited to the Report Server version.
