The most common request from my users is for Power BI to save the filters and settings that a user applies on a report. Currently they need to re-apply everytime they open it.

Hey everyone, the wait is finally over. For those who follow our blog closely, we shipped this feature in the service earlier this month: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/announcing-persistent-filters-in-the-service/ Thanks again for all the support!

RE: Save user filters on reports

From my side, I'm talking about the filters that I have available in each report for users to filter the data content of the report itself

We're using Power BI embedded, and its a very clunky user experience when we have saved or "sticky" selections in the application, but it doesn't carry over to the Power BI reports. Looking forward to having this functionality.

Hi,
do we have any update on this ?
This is also a common request from my users in Power BI, to save the filters so each time that they open it they don't have to re-apply the filters again.

We are planning to use Power BI Embedded until Premium rolls out. Right now, Slicer settings do not persist when the user logs back in to a new session so each time, they will have to reset to their own slicers.

A competing product has something called "Views", where users can set up pre-defined filter sets on each worksheet. It allows them to immediately swap between several customized views of the same dashboard, and is an often-used feature by users. It would be phenomenal if Power BI offered the same functionality, or at very least a way to save a single set of filters for a dashboard.

Same here. I remember cognos having this ability and it was GREAT. Users loved it. Here is a youtube vide that shows this functionality. I have sales reps that need this functionality.

"We do persist the applied filters for page/visual level." I am not able to replicate this behavior - can someone explain how that works? I've tested with both content packs and dashboards shared with me, and neither of them persist any filters/slicers that I apply.

This is critical functionality when developing reports for a WW audience.

Power BI Team - any update on this request? It has been under review for over a year.

This is definitely a must to have as people have their own favorite selections in multiple filters. These combinations would take a long time to be manually entered/selected. Adding this function would significantly save people's time and effort.

This should work on Pinned Live Pages as well, and as far as I can tell it doesn't.
