RE: Custom and Named Sets support
I've created about 45 Named Sets in my SSAS cube only to discover that I can't use this in Power BI. For a product competing with other vendors like Tableau, this is definitely a big minus on Power BI.
RE: Custom and Named Sets support
Named sets enable users to control the views more dynamically and hence should be an out of the box feature to enable more flexibility. Filtering and ordering of members is too basic to achieve what you need from a dynamic changing environment where time does not stand still.
RE: Custom and Named Sets support
Need this feature on high priority.
RE: Custom and Named Sets support
Very important requirement - gets my vote
RE: Custom and Named Sets support
This is a key requirement since ..
A lot of Power BI customers are reluctant or unable to migrating there Multi dimensional cubes to Tabular Models.
So connecting to a named set, e.g. Top 10 Products within a SSAS MD Cube from Power BI is a frequent requirement.
RE: Custom and Named Sets support
Yes please. My company defines named sets in the cubes but these are not recognized in Power BI
RE: Custom and Named Sets support
Named Set and Hierarchical Slicers seem like a must
RE: Custom and Named Sets support
I strongly vote for this!
RE: Custom and Named Sets support
There is lot of stuff which is part of NamesSets so there should be support in PowerBI.
RE: Custom and Named Sets support
Common requirement for my users are dashboards/reports with rolling 3 months figures. This feature was closed for Excel, and PowerBI doesn't support either. https://connect.microsoft.com/SQLServer/feedback/details/619958/named-set-cannot-be-used-as-filter-when-browsing-a-cube-in-excel
