Ability to select multiple items in a chart say multiple bars, pie's etc and automatically have filters applied to all the existing reports. this helps to highlight anomalies and see all the surrounding reports changes as we do it and showcase risks/opportunities

As of the February update, we now support cross-highlighting across multiple visuals! You can read the details in my blog post: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/power-bi-desktop-february-2018-feature-summary/#crosshighlight

Do you know if the multiple visualization filter was added to PowerBI? I'm trying to find exactly the same

Without this feature, several businesses I have talked to doesn't see the use case to switch to Power BI. They get the slicer concept but Power BI will be really only powerful when it has the multiple selection of visuals for [cross] filtering.

Guys, this is not an Idea but a BUG; Similar feature perfectly works in MS Windows! I think this might have significant impact on decision whether to make Power BI standard tool for reports and analytics or not as most of our executives work on Macs!

I am really missing this feature. I am endorsing Chris Hutchins comment "Use chart as slicer" would resolve this. Requirement is for the selection in chart A to globally filter the rest of the report, and not be reset to all when a selection in chart B is made."

This is so desperately needed.
It would make Power BI so much better.

I am glad this is under review. Ability to filter by multiple charts will make Power BI the BEST BI toll for business. e.g. by product by region.
Using slicers is waste of space not really a good user experience and so is using report or page level filters.

Totally needed!
Currently, I have to add slicers in addition to charts in order to allow filtering on multiple dimensions.
Slicers are unnecessary if you already have charts that show data you want to filter by. They take space.
I should be able to select multiple values on multiple charts so that selecting a value on a chart WILL NOT CANCEL the selections on other charts.
Thank you!

RE: Ability to select multiple items in a report for cross-highlighting

We are new into PBI and it would seem to be a basic requirement for users doing some kind of analysis with a report that they can select 2 different charts to filter the data on. I appreciate the same thing can be achieved by using page or report filters but it's not quite as good as using the charts. 1 example is we have a long category in a graph that is sorted by value so we see the top 10 items. The category could be in a page or report filter but the sorting is different and users have to scroll and search for the items to filter.

Ability to adjust the unit of a visual when drilling down. Example i have product sales in millions and when i drill down to analyze Product Category or Segment i no longer want the unit to be millions but instead thousands. It would be good to add a field to adjust the unit to each level of the hierarchy.
