We should be notified when there is a new version of both gateways. In addition, the Enterprise gateway should be updated automatically (admins should be able to turn this on/off).

The need for automatic updates for Enterprise Gateways has become even more pressing now Fabric components are included. Manually updating gateway servers each month is not sustainable in an enterprise environment. Gateway Admins should be able to manage when and on which Gateways the automated updates can be applied. Thank you.

This is dormant since 2016, thus inaceptable. while this item does not collect the business user community since this is task to the Power BI adminif you take 747 votes = 747 organizations x 9,000 users equate to 6,723,000 votes .

Auto -update would be appreciated. We are in an environment were everythign has to be automated via Infrastructure as Code deployment , this is a big limitation for us, same for the powershell cmdlet which onl support one member into the cluster.

It would be very helpful if the Power BI service could provide some notification when any gateways our out of date. Via email notification to the gateway administrators and/or a notification to the notification center in the Power BI service. This would help gateway administrators stay on top of the most current gateway releases and avoid unexpected outages due to gateway problems.

Gateway is only supported in the latest 6 versions.

It's a good general practice to make sure you're using a supported version. We release a new update of the on-premises data gateway every month. Currently, Microsoft actively supports only the last six releases of the on-premises data gateway.
