Add oauth(2) as an option to authenticate for e.g. web.contents.

RE: oauth

Totally agree. Went to try and use OpenPath.org (as demoed at this year's PASS BA conference) and got hit by OAUTH2 needs. I don't have the expertise to build my own API handler to do this. Would love to be able to just feed the credentials into Power Query and have it handle the authentication portion.

RE: oauth

I'm surprised this idea was proposed sooner! Oath2 support would be instrumental in gaining even more ground on Tableau. A must! Needs it!

RE: oauth

I agree, for example I've been trying to connect Power BI to FreeAgent's Oauth 2.0 API to no avail. Support for Oauth 2 would make Power BI mightily powerful.

RE: oauth

for enterprise api connectivity, this is a must have. As mentioned, 1000s of apis could be opened up without having to have specific connectors for each.

RE: oauth

To allow us to use the web.contents function more effectively, support for oauth(2) authentication should be added. Then a lot of 3rd party APIs could be queried without putting a server in the middle.
