datasets/reports only show latest data. Would like to be able to schedule each month to save a point-in-time snapshot of the report/dataset as it is at that time. Then I can show a client their report from this month, or last month, or one year ago. Not just the data as it is at the latest refresh

Also would be good if you could just snapshot Measures based on a period of time. i.e. 1st of every month or every 4 weeks etc.

We are forever tracking the status of items throughout a workflow. Inevitably this typically requires many periodic meetings where the delta from the last meeting is discussed. This is a horribly manual process. We connect to way too many data sources and large databases to save snapshots. This needs to be integrated into the dynamic connections! The time and effort that this would save my team is huge.

This is a excellent feature where I can send relevant data in excel format thru out the organization.

WE are in desperate need of this feature! It isn't useful to users to see the impact of their business decisions if they can only see snapshot data and not trended data.

yes please. It is very helpful for monthly reporting and saving a snapshot linked to it.

we really need this function as standard - I looked at incremental refresh but doesn't look like it will work.

This feature would be super useful and would help me get away from my R script. However this request would be encroaching on Azure territory so I doubt MS goes for it. Better start saving for an analytics cloud

This is a Necessity and should be at the top of all analysts lists...it would be tremendously helpful without having to utilize R or another program to create snapshots. A built in auto daily snapshot of data (that can be scheduled) would be very helpful and very useful.
