We released conditional formatting in tables with our May release of Power BI Desktop. Give it a try and let us know what you think. You can learn more about how to use it in our latest blog post: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/power-bi-desktop-may-update-feature-summary/.

RE: conditional formatting in tables
I would love to see conditional formatting on the matrix or table control (much like in Excel). That way, you immediately get an overview of high/low values and can show patterns or heat maps
RE: conditional formatting in tables
I think having similar ability to the conditional formatting in excel would be a great option for this
RE: conditional formatting in tables
Conditional formatting is very important for table / matrix options. It would be great if a range of 'conditional' formatting options were available. less than, greater than, range, equal to etc.
Important that the condition can be based on a formula not just a number.
RE: conditional formatting in tables
It is extremely useful to be able to color "one column" (exactly as you describe in your example). In a perfect world, the conditional formatting of a table or matrix in Power BI should mimic the power of conditional formatting in grids in Excel - but any functionality here will help immensely.
RE: conditional formatting in tables
If there's a table showing department sales by year, I'd want to add color to the year columns based on sales. Or any other measure for that matter. I think if "color saturation" is enabled for table, I can add sales as values and profit for color.
RE: conditional formatting in tables
Add the ability to apply color formatting for values in table or matrix based on a number
