It was implemented in charts but not in tables or matrixes.

We released conditional formatting in tables with our May release of Power BI Desktop. Give it a try and let us know what you think. You can learn more about how to use it in our latest blog post: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/power-bi-desktop-may-update-feature-summary/.

RE: conditional formatting in tables

Glad to see it is under planning. Really important to ustilise conditional formatting especially if the table includes so many numbers that have different meanings

RE: conditional formatting in tables

I would the ability to control the column color for conditional formatting and also just arbitrarily ie I want the first 4 columns red, the middle columns white, and the last 4 green.

RE: conditional formatting in tables

Adding conditional formats to matrix would allow the creation of performance (sales, profit, volume, etc.) heat maps between cross segments (e.g. how various products perform in various markets, relative to required performance thresholds). It would great value added.

need to do alternating row colors.
need ability to color a cell in a column based on a value in a measure.
ability to add an icon based on a compare to a measure. (green dot,red dot)

I Could not agree more, We've been using this tool for an exceptionally long period of time and look like fools after our entire organization now signed up ad spend an absorbent amount of money, MS, Please move this up and enable everyone to make MORE of PowerBI..

RE: conditional formatting in tables

Color by Individual Columns or Rows, or ranges of Columns or Rows. (both) While useful, it is not a priority to color a column based on a different value.

RE: conditional formatting in tables

We have the need to color matrix cells where rows=hour of day, columns= day of week and values is sum of sales. We would like to color the cells based on the sum of the sales . This would show the "hot sales" hours for any given day of the week. Essentially this is a heat map.
