Thank you for adding the linear trend line, however Power BI would be much more powerful with additional trend line functionality. We would love to see advanced options such as polynomial, exponential and logarithmic trend lines.
Essentially the trend line functionality from excel would be perfect

RE: Advanced trend lines in charts (polynomial, exponential,...)
You should be able to toggle trend lines for an individual series in a graph. The current "Combine Series" toggle is an all-or-nothing solution. It doesn't allow you to show a trend line for one value, but hide it for another. This needs to be fixed.

This would be great for those who are coming from Excel. However R is a much more powerful tool that has already been integrated into Power BI. Maybe the people just like having options!
RE: Advanced trend lines in charts (polynomial, exponential,...)
It is a must with our work, and the only reason for why I still have to work on certain charts within Excel instead of Power BI
RE: Advanced trend lines in charts (polynomial, exponential,...)
This is really critical functionality especially for oil and gas customers who do this sort of analysis on a daily basis quickly and easily with other toolsets.

Yes, please.

Yes, please!
RE: Advanced trend lines in charts (polynomial, exponential,...)
PLEASE make this work!
I need to be able to plot usage per tonne against total production and show current month vs the trendline (which is not linear!). Without this ability I can't progress with production reports.
Even SAP BW (circa 2004) can do this!
RE: Advanced trend lines in charts (polynomial, exponential,...)
It's actually pretty ridiculous that this hasn't been incorporated yet. This is a simple and essential feature for visuals.
RE: Advanced trend lines in charts (polynomial, exponential,...)
Very much required! Wondering why it is not yet in...

Is this on road map or backlog? Seems odd that Power BI is incorporating a ton of advanced A.I. features but still does not support this feature yet.
