Cognos also supports plenty of reports. It would be great if we could export the Cognos data to this dashboard.

Yes need to migrate away from Cognos as server is being decommissioned. We have Power BI and can import the data into it however all the reports, calculations and dashboards need to be transferred across as they will need to be manually re-created otherwise creating a massively complex data headache.

We have a product that comes with a cognos data warehouse and as a power bi customer, it would be great to Incorporate this data into our dashboards. (GCC)

Data deck in Cognos is powerful in term of handling a GROUP of visual element per member without explicitly replicate the visual group and visual filter.
i am not sure if i missed out the equivalent custom PowerBI visual ...

Senturus Analytics Connector allows you to pull Cognos reports into PowerBI via ODBC. It also supports queries against Cognos package model as well. https://www.senturus.com/products/analytics-connector/cognos-powerbi/

We are moving toward a concept of certified month-end numbers for Finance in Cognos/TM1/Planning Analytics, with daily and other extended data available in an SSAS/Excel/PowerBI environment.
It would be fantastic if we could use one set of user tools to span both the IBM and SSAS OLAP environments.

We use Cognos and are on the cusp of a fairly major upgrade, consumers don't like it so we're also on the cusp of purchasing PBI to visualize the data. Consumers don't understand the extent to which Cognos is transforming some of the data and we're currently discussing hooking PBI to our Oracle database but a link to Cognos could help us on our development path. I vote for the ability to link to Cognos.
