I work in a big insurance company and due to security reasons, we can't upload anything to the cloud / the power BI web services.
However, we love and use the Power Bi desktop to create beautiful internal reports. but we need to share them internally with slides.
we need a way to export reports directly from the power BI desktop to PowerPoint (without publishing the report to the web)
This is a must have feature for all the analysts in my team and will love to have your support on that.

maybe Power BI Local Reportserver ("RS") Sollution can be good for it. It works on local Network, it need Lizenz.To use that, user have to use the "RS" Designer Version, and need Spezial Power BI Uer Lizenzen too.

This improvement would be a very useful option to include the Power Bi reports to speed up a business presentation without publishing some change in the file

I'm disappointed that this isn't a feature. Without it, Power BI is very hindered and easily loses to Tableau.
You are unable to work on anything without an internet connection (so there goes working on a plane, train or bus) nor can you utilize any sort of "go offline to focus" techniques (i.e. like Cal Newman's "Deep Work")

I agree. for security reason we are not permitted to use the cloud, but use reporting services and sharepoint. we need to be able to export a visual or a page to pdf, et al, and not just a csv.
