PowerPoint Export to take into account filters that have been applied to the report prior to export. This is essential for users which need to filter on historic dates and then wish to export the report with those details.

RE: Export to PowerPoint with filters applied
HI,
any news on this item?
RE: Export to PowerPoint with filters applied
'@Nikhil: Any updates on this item? It's still showing as "planned", but I figured by now it would at least show as "started".

And, btw, this one feature is amongst top 3 reasons that impeded PBI acceptance in our rather large org.
RE: Export to PowerPoint with filters applied
'@Cherie: it's appalling we all have to resort to such workarounds. This greatly defeats the purpose of migrating reports into Power BI in the first place. Esp. given it should be a rather quick thing to implement on Microsoft's end.
RE: Export to PowerPoint with filters applied
I build in a Row-level security based on users credential applied on a common dataset for all users. Running their reports on the web, users only see the data that I allow them to see. They can now by pass security and see all data by exporting in Power Point. This is major and need to be solve as soon as possible
RE: Export to PowerPoint with filters applied
Is there any news about when this will be implemented?
RE: Export to PowerPoint with filters applied
I just thought I would pass along the workaround our company has been using for this. Since you can only export / print what is visually in the screen view and nothing beyond there is no advantage to actually printing, etc. We use the Microsoft "Snipping Tool". The users pin this snipping tool to their task bar. Then when they want something in PowerPoint: Open Power Point, filter their visual/page/report as they would like, click the snipping tool, draw around the area in Power BI they want to copy, Click on the page in PowerPoint and click paste.
