I frequently must prepare Power BI dashboards and reports that will be consumed predominantly by persons not deeply familiar with the Power BI environment.I would like to have the ability to lock/unlock visualizations for editing on a report page. A locked visualization would not be able to be moved or resized. It also would not have the visualization selection box appear when interacting with the visual. cross filtering and selection of objects within a visualization should not be affected. This would allow a published dashboard to have reports that share the same "finished" look and feel as the dashboard view.

On the View tab in Power BI Desktop you'll find a 'Lock objects' option. This prevents objects from being accidentally moved or selected, but still lets you interact for cross-highlight, drill etc.

You can turn on lock by going to View Tab and check Lock Objects

my dream was to issue the power BI mobile version as the read-only app to access the dashboards. but then, I realised you cannot share a dashboard unless you have a pro licence. this allow people to edit the dashboard etc.
dam... yes this is need so much. people get a well working view of information, and then they mess things up tinkering about.

Another vote for this! Much needed

This is crucial. I created a dashboard with the intent of sharing. But I am unwilling to share it unless i know that the data can not be manipulated and re-visualized. If this is not possible, I will not be able to use power BI for my purpose
