I so wish that you consider providing the ability to "Apply Width to all Data Columns" and maybe to Rows as well. This can be just a toggle (checkbox).
My current experience was to resize each of the 90-day worth of data and it was not very productive and I had to do this each time a new batch comes in.

I agree, at times the tables and Matrices in Power BI look unprofessional as the widths are all over the place and continue to change unless you fix them and adjust them all manually. However if you do this and more data is added to the right you need to adjust the new column.

I cannot understand why this feature is missing from Power BI, but it seems that setting column width in a table or matrix would be a great standard feature.

This is simple but important. Column Charts placed above a table or matrix is a common scenario which requires this alignment feature. The 3rd party visuals that look to do this just don't have the same quality and functionality as the standard Microsoft visuals.

this would be very useful, PBI is about automation so having to update the visualisation of the matrix whenever a new col is added to the dataset isn't great at all
e.g. My matrix shows months as cols, products as rows, and sales data as values. The matrix shows the last three full months of sales. I have to update the report on the first of over month.

As the matrix is sometimes the only way to calculate results on several columns, it make sense and logical to be able to control the width of columns in one step.
Please make it possible !!!
