datasets/reports only show latest data. Would like to be able to schedule each month to save a point-in-time snapshot of the report/dataset as it is at that time. Then I can show a client their report from this month, or last month, or one year ago. Not just the data as it is at the latest refresh

Gamechanger if we get this in place. We now use for some usecases dataflows for yearly snapshots but that is not dynamica enough for shorter timeframes

Ability to store snapshot of report when data get refreshed.

- so if user want to backtrack and check previous report he is able to do that.

Need the ability to snap what the report looked like at the beginning of each month. This can be done for Report Builder reports on the PowerBi server but not on the PowerBi reports on the server

Be able to automatically schedule a data snapshot/export data on a weekly or monthly basis.

RE: Allow for point-in-time snapshots for reports/dataset

Hi,We receive a daily count of our patient numbers per location via Microsoft BI. Unfortunately there is no way to view any data in history form. Meaning that once todays numbers are produced in Microsoft BI, it automatically overwrites yesterdays information. This makes it difficult to manage data usefully if you can only view current information and can not track history and trends. Is there a way that the system can avoid overwriting the data, so that I can get the patient counts per site for any date in history that was previously published? Thanks,Sima

We are currently saving copies of datasets each month for financials, and really need this functionality!

Having this functionality in ServiceNow via its Performance Analytics feature is an absolute pleasure to work with. When I was presented with PowerBI, I thought it was horrendously under-powered without this function....

This feature would be great. There are many times where the data can be recalculated but we would also like to use the snap shot to track progress mid process if that makes sense. Eg. # of jobs with status pending. By the next update the status will have changed from pending to in progress or completed so being able to automatically keep track of snapshots would be amazing!
