Whenever I see an aggregated metric (e.g., $483,572 in sales) - in, say, a column in a chart or a cell in a matrix - I should be able not only to drill down to a next level of detail, but to "drill to details" - all the way down to the individual rows of data (e.g., the individual sales orders) that make up that value.

Thanks for all the feedback. We just released the April version of Power BI desktop, including new drill functionality. You can drill into a particular column in a chart and see the records behind that part of the visual. For more info on this feature and other features in our latest release, check out this blog post: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/power-bi-desktop-april-update-feature-summary/

Still cannot drill down in a Matrix .
RE: Drill to details (view row-level data)
I agree with Travis. We would like to see support for SSAS tabular models.
RE: Drill to details (view row-level data)
I was hoping that this feature would work in Power BI online. Not just in Power BI desktop. Any plans to include it in Power BI online?
RE: Drill to details (view row-level data)
How can you mark this complete? It does not work for SSAS tabular/MD live connections. Feature is not done.
RE: Drill to details (view row-level data)
Excellent!
RE: Drill to details (view row-level data)
Can someone from Microsoft comment on an eta for this feature? I am testing Power BI for my organization and this question comes up all the time.
RE: Drill to details (view row-level data)
one of the must. without this we can not know what rows contributed for this total and can not take decision. Tableau handles this in excellent way
RE: Drill to details (view row-level data)
This feature is extremely important for my company as well.
RE: Drill to details (view row-level data)
We also waiting for this feature to migrate to PowerBI from Tableau. Since it's started, could you give ETA please.
RE: Drill to details (view row-level data)
This will be very useful. It was the first thing our Actuaries asked for when I demonstrated PowerBI.
