Whenever I see an aggregated metric (e.g., $483,572 in sales) - in, say, a column in a chart or a cell in a matrix - I should be able not only to drill down to a next level of detail, but to "drill to details" - all the way down to the individual rows of data (e.g., the individual sales orders) that make up that value.

Thanks for all the feedback. We just released the April version of Power BI desktop, including new drill functionality. You can drill into a particular column in a chart and see the records behind that part of the visual. I can do this in a matrix in Power View but not BI. Am I missing something

HOW DO I SELECT THE COLUMN TO SEE RECORDS FROM THE CHART? POWER BI SELECT THE RENDOM COLUMN BY IT SELF WHICH I DON'T WANT TO SEE IN RECORD.

Please vote here https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums/265200-power-bi-ideas/suggestions/15332967-enable-see-records-from-matrix-and-table, if you'd like matrix and table to have "See Records" feature. It doesn't look like ideas that have been marked as "Completed" get any attention.

This is a great feature but it will be essential that you can turn this feature on and off. I am sharing dashboards and reports with external business users and want to be able to limit what they can see. I would need to stop using Power BI if I was not able to stop people being able to use the See Records button which would give them the individual records which is too much access to the data.

I don't think it's completed. It surprised me that it doesn't support PowerBI online and calculated measures either. And it doesn't show all attributes in the "see records".

This feature only works with values as column data. Please enable for calculated measures! Thanks!

The feature is seriously incomplete: No full support across ALL the data sources , and not enabled at all in the Matrix.

Particularly painful the lack of support for Analysis Services (SSAS) both Multidimensional and Tabular.
